Rise as ONE
We started the event by welcoming the team and their seniors and just to get their energy flowing in the right direction we shared one real-time experience of 'fighting wherever you are with whatever you have' to achieve success, which was the story of J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series. In the late 1990s, Rowling was a struggling single mother living on welfare in Edinburgh, Scotland. She had the idea for the Harry Potter series and spent years working on the first book. However, despite her efforts, she faced numerous rejections from publishing companies.
Many of them didn't see the potential in her story and her genre. Despite the setbacks, Rowling refused to give up. She continued to write and submitted her manuscript to yet another publisher. Finally, Bloomsbury Publishing took a chance and decided to publish the first Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (known as "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in the United States). The success of the Harry Potter series skyrocketed, turning Rowling into one of the most famous and successful authors in the world. She went on to publish seven books in the series, selling over 500 million copies worldwide and inspiring a global phenomenon that included movies, theme parks, merchandise, and a massive fan base. Rowling's story is a prime example of fighting wherever you are with whatever you have. She didn't have financial resources or a prestigious writing background, but she used her talent, determination, and perseverance to achieve great success. She fought against rejection and adversity, and eventually, her hard work paid off. This real-life example demonstrates that success is not always about starting with the perfect circumstances or resources. It's about fighting for your goals regardless of your current situation and making the most of the opportunities that come your way. With this example we saw an outburst of exemplary actions taken by the groups made within the teams to go out of their way and achieve the goals of the longest chain.
